Alan
Alan was born in NJ and moved to Florida when he was around 10 years old. Growing up in a fairly undeveloped South Florida landscape, he discovered a huge passion for wildlife on the land and in the sea. He attended Syracuse University (’95) for his undergraduate degree and became a teacher and a professional marine wildlife artist. After caring for his beloved senior dog for almost 16 years (who had many medical issues), he was inspired to change his career and learn how to professionally nurse the animals he loved so much. He has developed a huge passion for helping people and their animal companions live a long healthy life
together for as long as they possibly can. He has spent his nursing practice mainly in the fields of general practice, anesthetic monitoring, and ophthalmology. He joined the Garbizo Animal Clinic team in 2022.
Alan loves to spend time with his girlfriend, their dog, and three cats. He also enjoys playing guitar, scuba diving, creating oil paintings, and doing underwater photography as much as possible.
